Reflections of the Eleventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

The 50 day celebration of the Easter Season has ended and we are now in the weeks of Ordinary Time.  For Catholics, Ordinary Time is the part of the year in which Christ, the Lamb of God, walks among us and transforms our lives. This is the period from May 24th through November 28th. 

"...Thus I have searched among them for someone who would build a wall or stand in the breach before me..."

Into the Breach... Fatherhood


Looking ahead to Father's Day, June 21st, we'd like to call your attention to this video series for Catholic men called "Into the Breach."   This 12-episode video series, produced by the Catholic men's organization, Knights of Columbus, was inspired by the Apostolic Exhortation for Catholic men written by Bishop Olmsted of Phoenix.


This is a call upon men of all ages to open your minds and hearts to Jesus Christ, the Savior who strengthens you to step into the breach!


Herein lies the fullness of masculinity; each Catholic man must be prepared to give himself completely, to charge into the breach, to engage in spiritual combat, to defend women, children, and others against the wickedness and snares of the devil!


Are you willing to step into the breach?

Watch the Consecration to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus

On June 11th the United States Catholic Bishops consecrated the nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus from the Basilica of the National Shrine of Mary, Queen of the Universe in Orlando, Florida.

This historic event commemorates the nation's 250th anniversary in anticipation of the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 12th.
