Advent Season begins- Sunday, November 30th
The Advent Season is November 30th, 2025 through the morning of December 24th, 2025
Beginning the Church's liturgical year, Advent, from the Latin word "ad-venire" meaning "to come to", is the season encompassing the four Sundays and weekdays leading up to the celebration of Christmas.

Eucharistic Adoration and Confession- All Saturdays at 9:30AM
Join us for Eucharistic Adoration and Confession immediatley after the Saturday 9:00AM Mass. All are welcome.
Reconciliation/Confessions are from 9:30AM to 10:30AM on Saturdays.

Sunday Coffee Social- All Sundays, 9:00AM to 10:00AM
Join us for coffee, pastries, and fellowship immediately following the 8:00AM Mass.
All are welcome to join us on the ground floor of the Parish Center.

Children's Liturgy of the Word Resumes- Sundays at the 8:00AM Mass
A team of volunteers offers a Children's Liturgy of the Word in the lower chapel of the church while the adults hear the usual readings at the 8:00AM Mass.
No signup is required.
Suggested age range: 5 to 9 years old

Come join the singing for the beautiful seasons of Advent & Christmas.
Rehearsals are located in the lower Chapel of the church on Thursdays

St. Vincent de Paul Monthly Meeting- Saturday, December 6th at 5:00pm
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a Catholic charitable organization, dedicated to the service of those in need. The Society helps the needy regardless of their creed, ethnic, or social background via person-to-person contact.
All are welcome to attend our monthly meeting on Saturday after the Mass to learn more about our organization.
Please join us in our ministry of helping those in need.
We meet in the Saint Michael Parish Center.

Christmas Card Makers- Sunday, December 7th from 1:30PM to 3:30PM
Looking for children and their parents to join us as we create homemade Christmas Cards for the homebound.
Won't you help send some cheer to them for this Christmas Season?
Great opportunity to teach our children to care about others and think outside themselves, while having fun too!!!

Knights of Columbus Monthly Meeting - Tuesday, December 9th at 6:30PM
Council #81, the local Knights of Columbus meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6:30PM at Saint Matthias Parish Hall, 409 Hemenway Street in Marlborough MA. Enter through the door in the back of Saint Matthias Church.
If you are 18 years or older, please consider joining a great team of men, placing faith into action!

Join us at the daily Mass on Friday, December 12th as we celebrate the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
In 1531, the Blessed Mother appeared four times to Saint Juan Diego asking for a church to be built in her honor.

Newly Canonized Saints, September 7th, 2025
On September 7th, 2025 at the first canonization Mass of his pontificate, Pope Leo XIV proclaimed Carlo Acutis and Pier Giorgio Frassati saints, praising their devotion to the Eucharist, prayer and serving the poor.

Saint Michael Portuguese Brazilian Festival
On August 25th, the Parish held the Saint Michael Portuguese Brazilian Festival.
Again, a very successful Festa Junina!

Register your youth for Religious Education by September 8th, 2025
To help us prepare for the 2025-2026 Religious Education Program at Saint Michael, please register your child by September 8th.
Catholic Faith Formation Sessions are for those students from Grades 1 through 8.
Sessions begin September 24th.

Religious Freedom Week, June 22nd thru 29th 2025
Religious Freedom Week is celebrated in Catholic dioceses nationwide from June 22 to June 29.
Throughout the week we will focus on the importance of preserving the essential right of religious freedom, both now and in the future, for Catholics and all people of faith.
Beginning June 22nd, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) invites Catholics to PRAY, REFLECT, and ACT to promote religious freedom.

Francis Cardinal Prevost as the 267th Bishop of Rome.
The 69-year-old Robert Francis Prevost is from the northern part of the American continent, though he spent many years as a missionary in Peru before being elected head of the Augustinians for two consecutive terms.

The Easter Season- Begins April 20th thru June 8th
The Easter season is fifty days from the Sunday of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ to Pentecost Sunday.

The Season of Lent is March 5th through April 26th 2025
The season of Lent is a Catholic Liturgical Season that is the forty days before Easter consisting of Fasting, Prayer, Almsgiving beginning on Ash Wednesday(March 5th) and concluding at sundown on Holy Thursday.
Lent ends when the evening Mass of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday begins.

Jubilee 2025 PILGRIMS OF HOPE
2025 is the Jubilee Holy Year, the 2,025th anniversary of the Incarnation of our Lord, an "event of great spiritual, ecclesial, and social significance in the life of the Church."
The concept of "Jubilee" has its origins in the Book of Leviticus (chapter 25) as a special year of reconciliation, pilgrimage, and coming home. Pope Francis has designated the 2025 Holy Year as a time to renew ourselves as "Pilgrims of Hope."

Pope Saint John XXIII National Seminary is a Catholic professional and graduate theological institution dedicated uniquely to the preparation of seminarians 30 years of age and older responding to a call to priestly ministry.
Our program fosters the human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral formation of its seminarians. We especially respect and utilize the life experiences and accomplishments of our mature seminarians, as we prepare them for priestly ministry.
Since 1964 our Seminary has been acclaimed for offering quality formation specifically suited for the adult learner. Currently, our 700+ alumni serve throughout the world.

Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn ChildrenList Item 1
Wednesday, January 22nd is the annual "Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children" observed by the Catholic Church in the United States. This day is set aside to pray for the legal protection of human life and to do penance for the violations to human dignity caused through abortion. We are called to observe this day through prayer and penance.
