Christ's Prayer of Unity
When Jesus had said this, he raised his eyes to heaven and said...
"...And I have given them [Christ's Apostles]
the glory you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one, I in them and you in me, that they may be brought to perfection as one, that the world may know that you sent me, and that you loved them even as you loved me."
John 17: 1,22-23
The Church, created by God, founded by Jesus Christ, and guided by the Holy Spirit, is One, Holy, Apostolic and Universal. This is the Catholic Church.
Then Jesus approached and said to them [Christ's Apostles],
“All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”
Matthew 28: 20
The Church was founded in the year 33 by Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and it is still the same...One, Holy, Apostolic, and Catholic(universal) Church.
