Divine Mercy Novena- April 3rd through April 11th

As you pray this novena during these days, you are praying with Catholics throughout the United States.

Sunday of Divine Mercy is April 12th

Each year, on the Second Sunday of Easter — the last

day of the Easter Octave — the Church celebrates the Sunday of Divine Mercy.

On this day, we contemplate the fullness of the Paschal Mystery — Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection.  The basis of the whole Easter Mystery is the merciful love of God.

About the Divine Mercy Novena

Jesus asked that the Feast of the Divine Mercy be preceded by a Novena to the Divine Mercy which would begin on Good Friday and each day prior to this feast day (nine days of prayer).

Holy Week and the Sacred Paschal Triduum

The Sacred Paschal Triduum is the three most solemn days of the liturgical year;  Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil.

These days (April 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of 2026) rank at the head of the liturgical calendar.  They celebrate the most sacred mysteries of our faith, and they ought to be celebrated with the community at liturgy.

Please make it a top priority to go to church to celebrate the Sacred Paschal Triduum this year. Reserve the time. Rearrange your schedule if necessary.
