I am very grateful to report the very exciting news that...

We Have Reached Our Goal!

Thanks to the generosity of our Saint Michael Parish family, we have met our goal for the Parish Center Cleanup Project. As of November 1st, 149 families have given $103,505, exceeding the $95,000 goal we set!

This was accomplished in a relatively short amount of time! Every gift, regardless of size, made this possible. On an additional note, the funds raised include the proceeds from our Portuguese and Brazilian Dinner Dance that was held recently in October.  We are grateful for those communities' contributions to this effort.

The Parish Center is back open. The work continuing this fall includes,  painting rooms, fixing the underground drainage system. installing new gutters, and installing new doors to the boiler rooms that allowed water seepage.

The Parish Center building supports much of the Parish community life.  The building hosts numerous activities of our Parish Life such as the classrooms for our faith formation programs of our children and adults, Faith enrichment groups,  many social events and group meetings and holds the office space for the Parish administrative staff. 

Your gifts paid for mold remediation, asbestos abatement in the affected areas, removal of the old basement carpet, new flooring in mold-affected rooms, and four high-intensity dehumidifiers.  By making these necessary improvements,  you have ensured that our Parish Center will continue to be a safe, healthy environment for those who visit and work there.

For the gifts beyond the $95,000 goal, these will go toward future tasks on our parish maintenance list.
