Reflections of the Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time
The 50 day celebration of the Easter Season has ended and we are now in the weeks of Ordinary Time. For Catholics,
Ordinary Time is the part of the year in which Christ, the Lamb of God, walks among us and transforms our lives. This is the period from May 24th through November 28th.
Join Us as We Pray the Saint Monica Novena
August 19th thru August 27th
The Saint Monica Novena is prayed for nine days, asking for the intercession of the saint who tirelessly prayed for her son, Saint Augustine, until he converted.
This novena is a source of encouragement for those praying for family members, loved ones who have left the Church, or those struggling with faith.
Saint Monica’s example reminds us that no prayer is wasted and that God hears every tear shed in love.
The practice of praying novenas is an ancient prayer practice that goes back to the time of the Apostles.
